And David perceived that Yahweh had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel's sake.

And David inquired of Yahweh, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? will you deliver them into my hand? And Yahweh said to David, Go up; for I will certainly deliver the Philistines into your hand.

And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry-trees, that then you shall bestir yourself; for then Yahweh has gone out before you to smite the host of the Philistines.

And when they came to the threshing-floor of Nacon, Uzzah put forth [his hand] to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen stumbled.

And the anger of Yahweh was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for the error; and there he died by the ark of God.

And they brought in the ark of Yahweh, and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it; and David offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before Yahweh.

And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in your heart; for Yahweh is with you.

Go and tell my slave David, Thus says Yahweh, Shall you build me a house for me to dwell in?

for I have not dwelt in a house since the day that I brought up the sons of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.

And I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in their own place, and be moved no more; neither shall the sons of wickedness afflict them anymore, as at the first,

He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

And this was yet a small thing in your eyes, O Lord Yahweh; but you have spoken also of your slave's house for a great while to come; and this is the law of man, O Lord Yahweh!

And what more can David say to you? for you know your slave, O Lord Yahweh.

For your word's sake, and according to your own heart, you have wrought all this greatness, to make your slave know it.

Therefore you are great, O Yahweh God: for there is none like you, neither is there any God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

And what other nation on earth is like your people Israel, whose God went and redeemed a people for himself, and made a name for himself, and did great and awesome things for you to drive out nations and their gods before your people, whom you redeemed to yourself from Egypt?

For you, O Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, have revealed to your slave, saying, I will build you a house: therefore has your slave found in his heart to pray this prayer to you.

now therefore let it please you to bless the house of your slave, that it may continue forever before you; for you, O Lord Yahweh, have spoken it: and with your blessing let the house of your slave be blessed forever.

And David took from him a thousand and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David hocked all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for a hundred chariots.

then Toi sent Joram his son to king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And [Joram] brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of bronze:
