One who ^(C1)justifies the wicked and one who condemns the righteous, Both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.

It is also not good to ^(C1)fine the righteous, Nor to strike the noble for their uprightness.

To ^(C1)show partiality to the wicked is not good, Nor to ^(C2)suppress the righteous in judgment.

The exercise of justice is joy for the righteous, But ^(C1)terror to those who practice injustice.

^(C1)Rescue those who are being taken away to death, And those who are staggering to the slaughter, Oh hold them back!

If you say, "See, we did not know this," Does He ^(C1)who weighs the hearts not ^(C2)consider it? And ^(C3)does He who ^(C4)watches over your soul not know it? And will He not ^(F1)(C5)repay a person according to his work?

These also are ^(C1)sayings of the wise: To ^(F1)(C2)show partiality in judgment is not good.

One ^(C1)who says to the wicked, "You are righteous," ^(C2)Peoples will curse him, nations will scold him;

But ^(C1)for those who rebuke the wicked there will be delight, And a good blessing will come upon them.

Evil people ^(C1)do not understand justice, But those who seek the LORD ^(C2)understand everything.

^(C1)Many seek the ruler's ^(F1)favor, But ^(C2)justice for mankind comes from the LORD.
