And whe Iabin King of Hazor had heard this, then he sent to Iobab King of Madon, & to the king of Shimron, & to the king of Achshaph,

At that time also Ioshua turned backe, and tooke Hazor, & smote the King thereof with the sword: for Hazor before time was the head of all those kingdomes.

Moreouer, they smote all the persons that were therein with the edge of the sworde, vtterly destroying all, leauing none aliue, and hee burnt Hazor with fire.

But Israel burnt none of the cities that stoode still in their strength, saue Hazor onely, that Ioshua burnt.

And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,

And Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, Hesron (which is Hazor)

And Adamah, and Ramah, and Hazor,

And Kedesh, and Edrei, and En-hazor,

And the Lord sold them into the hande of Iabin King of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor, whose chiefe Captaine was called Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles.

Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feete to the tent of Iael the wife of Heber the Kenite: (for peace was betweene Iabin the king of Hazor, & betweene the house of Heber the Kenite)

And when they forgate the Lorde their God, he solde them into the hand of Sisera captaine of the hoste of Hazor, and into the hand of the Philistims, and into the hande of the king of Moab, and they fought against them.

And after the time of two yeeres, Absalom had sheepesherers in Baal-hazor, which is beside Ephraim, and Absalom called all the Kings sonnes.

And this is the cause of the tribute why King Salomon raised tribute, to wit, to builde the house of the Lord, and his owne house, & Millo, & the wal of Ierusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.

In the dayes of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath Pileser king of Asshur, & tooke Iion, and Abel, Beth-maachah, & Ianoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilah, & all the land of Naphtali, and caryed them away to Asshur.

Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,

Vnto Kedar, and to the kingdomes of Hazor, which Nebuchad-nezzar, king of Babel shall smite, thus sayeth the Lord, Arise, and goe vp vnto Kedar, and destroy the men of the East.

Flee, get you farre off ( they haue consulted to dwell) O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith the Lorde: for Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel hath taken counsell against you, and hath deuised a purpose against you.

And Hazor shal be a dwelling for dragons, and desolation for euer: there shall no man dwell there, nor the sonnes of men remaine in it.
