While He was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man covered with leprosy; and when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and begged Him, saying, "Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean."
Luke 5:12
And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
And He reached out with His hand and touched him, saying, "I am willing; be cleansed." And immediately the leprosy left him.
Luke 5:13
And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
And He ordered him to tell no one, saying, "But go and show yourself to the priest, and make an offering for your cleansing, just as Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."
Luke 5:14
And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
But the news about Him was spreading even farther, and large crowds were gathering to hear Him and to be healed of their sicknesses.
Luke 5:15
But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray.
Luke 5:16
And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
