The apostles gathered together with Jesus; and they reported to Him all that they had done and taught.
Mark 6:30
And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.
And He said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a little while." (For there were many people coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.)

And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
And they went away in the boat to a secluded place by themselves.

And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.
The people saw them going, and many recognized them and ran there together on foot from all the cities, and got there ahead of them.

And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him.
When Jesus went ashore, He saw a large crowd, and He felt compassion for them because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things.

And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
And when it was already late, His disciples came up to Him and said, "This place is secluded and it is already late;
Mark 6:35
And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed:
send them away so that they may go into the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat."
Mark 6:36
Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.
But He answered them, "You give them something to eat!" And they said to Him, "Shall we go and spend two hundred denarii on bread, and give it to them to eat?"
Mark 6:37
He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?
But He said to them, "How many loaves do you have? Go look!" And when they found out, they said, "Five, and two fish."
Mark 6:38
He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.
And He ordered them all to recline by groups on the green grass.
Mark 6:39
And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.
They reclined in groups of hundreds and fifties.
Mark 6:40
And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.
And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up toward heaven, He blessed the food and broke the loaves and He gave them to the disciples again and again to set before them; and He divided the two fish among them all.
Mark 6:41
And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.
And they all ate and were satisfied;
Mark 6:42
And they did all eat, and were filled.
and they picked up twelve full baskets of the broken pieces of bread, and of the fish.
Mark 6:43
And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
There were five thousand men who ate the loaves.
Mark 6:44
And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.
