Rescue me from my enemies, my God; Set me securely on high away from those who rise up against me.
Psalms 59:1
Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.
Rescue me from those who practice injustice, And save me from men of bloodshed.
Psalms 59:2
Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.
For behold, they have set an ambush for my life; Fierce men attack me, Not for my wrongdoing nor for my sin, LORD,
Psalms 59:3
For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Lord .
For no guilt of mine, they run and take their stand against me. Stir Yourself to help me, and see!
Psalms 59:4
They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold.
You, LORD God of armies, the God of Israel, Awake to punish all the nations; Do not be gracious to any who deal treacherously in wrongdoing. Selah
Psalms 59:5
Thou therefore, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.
They return at evening, they howl like a dog, And prowl around the city.
Psalms 59:6
They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
Behold, they gush forth with their mouths; Swords are in their lips, For, they say, "Who hears?"
Psalms 59:7
Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?
But You, LORD, laugh at them; You scoff at all the nations.
Psalms 59:8
But thou, O Lord , shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.
Because of his strength I will watch for You, For God is my refuge.
Psalms 59:9
Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence.
My God in His faithfulness will meet me; God will let me look triumphantly upon my enemies.
Psalms 59:10
The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.
Do not kill them, or my people will forget; Scatter them by Your power and bring them down, Lord, our shield.
Psalms 59:11
Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.
On account of the sin of their mouths and the words of their lips, May they even be caught in their pride, And on account of curses and lies which they tell.
Psalms 59:12
For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.
Destroy them in wrath, destroy them so that they will no longer exist; So that people may know that God rules in Jacob, To the ends of the earth. Selah
Psalms 59:13
Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah.

Psalms 59:14
And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
They wander about for food And murmur if they are not satisfied.
Psalms 59:15
Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.
But as for me, I will sing of Your strength; Yes, I will joyfully sing of Your faithfulness in the morning, For You have been my refuge And a place of refuge on the day of my distress.
Psalms 59:16
But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.
My strength, I will sing praises to You; For God is my refuge, the God who shows me favor.
Psalms 59:17
Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.
