13:11 felt (f-12) What the mind or thoughts are upon. As Matthew 16:23 ; Romans 8:5 ; Philippians 3:19 ; Colossians 3:2 .
Verse 12
13:12 window (g-8) That is, through some medium which, in degree, hinders vision. The word means also 'a mirror,' but it is used for window, made, not of clear transparent glass, as now, but of semi-transparent materials. In this verse, 'know' (partially) is ginosko , the words used for 'know' and 'known' in the last clause of the verse are from epiginosko , which is stronger, as in Matthew 11:27 .
