Exodus 20:15 — secularized and having turned away from God, shall suddenly reap the consequences of irreligion! God grant that that day may never come for America. But it will come; it must come, unless parents resume their responsibility, man the strongholds of faith, and teach the citizens of future generations the true principles of Almighty God. The theft of the Word of God through the failure to teach it is such a colossal sin, that it was probably invented by Satan himself.

Daniel 9:24 — times of the Gentiles have been fulfilled." Revelation 16 describes a time when the moral environment of the whole earth shall be corrupted in a near-total degree. It is of that period that Jesus asked, "When the Son of Man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth" (Luke 18:8). In Christ's multiple prophecy of the end of the world (Matthew 24:9-11), Christ warned that the ordinary upheavals of history such as wars and rumors of wars, floods, earthquakes, famines, etc. were not to be understood

Haggai 2:23 — saw in Zerubbabel the Messianic King,"[31] This was in the fullness of time fully vindicated as an authentic vision. It is pointless to speculate upon Haggai's complete understanding of what Jehovah here said, or not. Whether he did, or didn't, he faithfully reported God's Word. Zerubbabel is seen as a type of Christ in that, "He led the people out of Babylonian bondage, as Christ would lead his people out of the bondage of sin. Also, he built a temple, as Christ built the far greater Temple

John 1:18 — in the flesh. Thus, due to his limitation, man can enjoy true knowledge of God only through the revelation of the one who, as both God and man, is in a position truly to reveal him. This verse declares that Christ has indeed provided for man such a faithful revelation of the Father. No man hath seen God at any time … This is not a contradiction of Exodus 24:10, where it is recorded that a whole company of Israelites "saw the God of Israel"; nor is this a contradiction of Job 42:5,
Romans 11:7 — the ones hardened. The two Israels in this verse emerge clearly under two designations, "the election" being the true Israel, "the rest" being the fleshly Israel. The election received God’s blessing through the obedience of faith. The rest received it not through unbelief, rebellion, and self-hardening, terminating finally in God’s judicial hardening. The fact of fleshly Israel’s culpability in their terminal condition was stated by Christ thus: And unto them

Romans 13:11 — at that time, "near" in the sense of soon. This is invariably true of all, that salvation is nearer than when we first believed. Every man’s salvation is nearer as life unfolds; and, for every man, it is sealed and assured, when his faithfulness has been manifested even unto the end. Writing to Timothy, in the last of his apostolic messages, Paul said, I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of

Romans 16:1-2 — of recommendation borne by a Christian transferring from one place to another. The length of Phoebe’s projected stay in Rome was not given, being immaterial; because Christians, wherever they go, and for whatever length of time, should seek the faithful in Christ for worship and association. The fact that Phoebe might have required some assistance from the brethren on the business matters which occasioned her going to Rome was not the sole reason for this letter, other considerations of importance
1 Corinthians 13:8-10 — True, it is only said here that "tongues SHALL cease"; but there is no reason whatever to believe that this least of all supernatural gifts should have survived when supernatural knowledge, divine prophecy, and the gift of miracle-working faith perished; which, of course, they did. Any authentic speaking in tongues is here restricted by the apostle Paul to the age of miracles; and when that ceased, the tongues ceased, except for the affectations of those who indulge, from whatever motives,

Philippians 4:6 — I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel" (Ephesians 6:19). For mercy. "Come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16). For the sick. "The prayer of faith shall save the sick" (James 5:14,15). Deliverance from temptation. "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one" (Matthew 6:13). For them that despitefully use us. This includes prayer for enemies. See Matthew 5:44. In
Hebrews 6:4 — the sacred flame of the Holy Spirit within their hearts. And then fall away poses the question of the true conversion of those that fell; were they really and truly born again Christians, or were they in some vital manner deficient, either of true faith or of possession of the Holy Spirit? The more one studies this passage, the more it comes through as absolutely certain that those who, in this instance, are spoken of as falling away, were at first good Christians, genuinely converted, enlightened,
Hebrews 6:4-6 — mind the sacred flame of the Holy Spirit within their hearts. Revelation 10:1 — REV:10 The big thing in this chapter is "the little book open," which beyond any reasonable doubt is the New Testament. Of all the books ever heard of in the history of the world, there is only one small book continuing to remain open in spite of the
