ἀνακεφαλαιομαι

From G303 and G2775

** ἀνα -κεφαλαιόω ,

(see κεφαλαιόω ),

[in Th., Al.: Psalms 72:20 *;]

to sum up, gather up, present as a whole: mid., Romans 13:9, Ephesians 1:10 (on WH. v. Lft., Notes, 321 L; AR, in l; Cremer, 354, 748).†

Vocabulary of the Greek NT

ἀνακεφαλαιόω naturally does not figure in our non-literary sources : it belongs to a more cultivated stratum of thought—see its record in Grimm. But the commonness of κεφάλαιον, ";sum,"; total,"; would make the meaning obvious even to ordinary readers.
