מָכִיר (“sold”), [Machir], pr.n. m.

(1) a son of Manasseh, the father of Gilead, Genesis 50:23 hence poetically used of the tribe of Manasseh, Judges 5:14.

(2)  2 Samuel 9:4, 2 Samuel 9:5, 17:27. Hence patron. מָכִירִי Numbers 26:29.
