And the five thousand cubits that are left in the breadth over against the twenty-five thousand cubits shall be common ground for the use of the city, for dwelling and for suburbs; and the city shall be in the midst of it.

And the remainder of the land opposite the holy portion shall be ten thousand eastward and ten thousand westward; and it shall be opposite the holy portion; and its produce shall be for food to those who work for the city.

And they that work for the city shall be recruited out of all the tribes of Israel.

And the remainder shall be for the ruler of the city, on one side and on the other of the holy portion and of the possession of the city, opposite the twenty-five thousand cubits toward the east border, and westward twenty-five thousand cubits toward the west border, opposite the portion for the ruler; and it shall be the holy portion; and the sanctuary of the temple shall be in its midst.

As for the rest of the tribes, from the east side to the west side, Benjamin shall have a portion.

This is the land which you shall divide for a heritage to the tribes of Israel, and these are their portions, says the LORD God.

And the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates on the north side; one gate for Reuben, one gate for Judah, one gate for Levi.

And at the east side four thousand and five hundred measures; and three gates: one gate for Joseph, one gate for Benjamin, one gate for Dan.

And at the south side four thousand and five hundred measures; and three gates: one gate for Simeon, one gate for Issachar, one gate for Zebulun.

At the west side four thousand and five hundred measures; and three gates: one gate for Gad, one gate for Asher, and one gate for Naphtali.

And the king assigned them a daily portion of the kings delicacies and of the wine which he drank, to nourish them for three years, so that afterward they might stand before the king.

Test your servants for ten days; and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink.

So he consented to them in this matter and tested them for ten days.

As for these four boys, God gave them knowledge and understanding in every book and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

Then spoke the Chaldeans before the king in Aramaic, saying, O king, live for ever; tell your servants the dream, and we will show the interpretation.

But if you will not make known to me the dream, there is but one sentence for you; for you have prepared lying words and falsehoods to speak before me, to gain time; therefore tell me the dream, so that I shall know that you can show me its interpretation.

For the thing that the king is asking is very difficult, and there is no man who can show it before the king except the gods, whose dwelling is not with men born of flesh.

Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever; for wisdom and might belong to him;

To thee, O God of my fathers, I give thanks, and I praise thee, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast now made known to me what we desired of thee; for thou hast made known to us the kings matter.

As for you, O king, your thoughts came into your mind concerning what shall come to pass hereafter; and he who reveals mysteries has made known to you what shall come to pass.
