for [the children] not being yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand,

For he says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.

For the scripture says to Pharaoh, For this very purpose I raised you up, that I might show in you my power, and that my name might be published abroad in all the earth.

You will say then to me, Why then does he still find fault? For who withstands his will?

for the Lord will execute [his] word on the earth, finishing it and cutting it short.

Brothers, my heart's desire and my supplication to God is for them, that they may be saved.

For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

For being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

For Christ is the end of the law to righteousness to every one that believes.

For Moses describes the righteousness which is of the law, That the man who does those things shall live by them.

for with the heart man believes to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.

For the scripture says, Whoever believes on him shall not be put to shame.

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek: for the same [Lord] is Lord of all, and is rich to all that call on him:

for, Whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

But they did not all listen to the glad tidings. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our report?

I say then, Did God cast off his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

But what does the answer of God say to him? I have left for myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to Baal.

What then? that which Israel seeks for, that he did not obtain; but the election obtained it, and the rest were hardened:

For if the casting away of them [is] the reconciling of the world, what [shall] the receiving [of them be], but life from the dead?

for if God didn't spare the natural branches, lest neither will he spare you.
