Who is a liar but the person who denies that Jesus is the Christ?[fn] The person who denies the Father and the Son is the antichrist.1 John 4:3; 2 John 1:1:7;">[xr]

Dear friends, we are now God's children, but what we will be like has not been revealed yet. Whoever says, "I love God," but hates his brother is a liar. The one who does not love the brother whom he has seen cannot love a God whom he has not seen.1 John 2:4;">[xr]

This man, Jesus Christ, is the one who came by water and blood - not with water only, but with water and with blood. The Spirit is the one who verifies this, because the Spirit is the truth.John 14:17; 15:26; 16:13; 19:34; 1 Timothy 3:16;">[xr]

I wrote a letter[fn] to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to be in charge, will not accept us.

Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The person who does what is good is from God. The person who does what is evil has never seen God.[xr]

He even tries to stop those who want to accept them and throws them out of the church. Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The person who does what is good is from God. The person who does what is evil has never seen God.[xr] Demetrius has received a good report from everyone, including the truth itself. We, too, can testify to this, and you know that our testimony is true.[xr] Although I have a great deal to write to you, I would rather not write with pen and ink.[xr] Instead, I hope to see you soon and talk face to face. He has also held in eternal chains those angels who did not keep their own position but abandoned their assigned place. They are held in deepest darkness for judgment on the great day.[fn][xr]

Even the archangel Michael, when he argued with the devil and fought over the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him but said, "May the Lord rebuke you!"[fn][xr]
