This is especially true of those who travel down the trail of lust and shun God's authority in their lives.These counterfeit cowboys are bold and show-offs. They show no respect for the glorious creatures of heaven, but instead make fun of everything that is holy.

They have left the narrow trail and wander lost in the abyss. They have followed the trail of Balaam, who traded what was right for what was profitable.

These people are like dried up dirt tanks. They drift away like the clouds after a storm. They have a place in the forever-dark prepared for them by God.

Cowboys, this is the second letter I've sent y'all. Both times I've aimed for getting you to see the truth of the right way to think and act.

First off, there will come a day when people make fun of God in broad daylight and do nothing except worship their own lustful wants and needs. They'll laugh in your face for riding for Jesus

By the same word, God is now preserving the earth and heavens for the day they will all be destroyed, not by water again, but this time by fire. The current heaven and earth are waiting on the day when all godless people will be destroyed in the fire to come.

I think it's important for you to understand time isn't the same for us as it is for God. To him, a thousand years is like a day and a day is like a thousand years. One is the same as the other to him.

The Lord isn't slow-bucking his promises to us. He is being patient with all of us so that all who can be will be saved. He wants everyone to turn from their sins and ride for him. He's going to wait as long as he can because he doesn't want anyone to be destroyed. He's waiting for everyone to turn loose of their sins.

Those of us who ride for God eagerly await this time when everything will be consumed in fire. Everything except us.

We wait for God to come through on his word; he promised us a new heaven and a new earth where his cowboys will ride in stirrup-high green grass and sit beside crystal-clear waters forever.

Until this time comes, ride with your head held high and your back straight. Be pure and faultless in God's sight and be at peace by riding only for him.

We tell you what we have seen and heard so that you will join us in the crew that rides for the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ.

This is what your life has longed for and your participation is what our life longs for.

If we claim we have not sinned, then we are calling God a liar because he said we are all sinners. To make this claim proves we do not ride for Him.

The one way to know for sure you ride for the brand is if you obey God's commands.

If we say we ride for him, but we don't do what he says, then we are counterfeits and fakes and there is no truth in us at all.

But if we conduct our lives like God says to, that means we love him. This is how to know if you are really riding for him or not:

if you ride for God, ride the way Jesus did.

This entire world is gripped in the throes of death. This world's desires are passing away like paper in a fire. But those who ride for God will live forever.

You can't ride for God while rejecting his Son. You don't get one without the other.
