Come, O house of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the LORD . The Day of the LORD

Wail, for the day of the LORD is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty.

See, the day of the LORD is coming -a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger- to make the land desolate and destroy the sinners within it.

They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will be an unclean thing. Their silver and gold will not be able to save them in the day of the LORD 's wrath. They will not satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs with it, for it has made them stumble into sin.

You have not gone up to the breaks in the wall to repair it for the house of Israel so that it will stand firm in the battle on the day of the LORD .

For the day is near, the day of the LORD is near- a day of clouds, a time of doom for the nations.

Alas for that day! For the day of the LORD is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty.

Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming. It is close at hand-

The LORD thunders at the head of his army; his forces are beyond number, and mighty are those who obey his command. The day of the LORD is great; it is dreadful. Who can endure it?

Be silent before the Sovereign LORD , for the day of the LORD is near. The LORD has prepared a sacrifice; he has consecrated those he has invited.

Their wealth will be plundered, their houses demolished. They will build houses but not live in them; they will plant vineyards but not drink the wine. The Great Day of the Lord

"The great day of the LORD is near- near and coming quickly. Listen! The cry on the day of the LORD will be bitter, the shouting of the warrior there.

A day of the LORD is coming when your plunder will be divided among you.
