He did not stay in Nazareth, but went to live in Capernaum, a town by Lake Galilee, in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali.

When Jesus entered Capernaum, a Roman officer met him and begged for help:

And as for you, Capernaum! Did you want to lift yourself up to heaven? You will be thrown down to hell! If the miracles which were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would still be in existence today!

When Jesus and his disciples came to Capernaum, the collectors of the Temple tax came to Peter and asked, "Does your teacher pay the Temple tax?"

Jesus and his disciples came to the town of Capernaum, and on the next Sabbath Jesus went to the synagogue and began to teach.

A few days later Jesus went back to Capernaum, and the news spread that he was at home.

They came to Capernaum, and after going indoors Jesus asked his disciples, "What were you arguing about on the road?"

He said to them, "I am sure that you will quote this proverb to me, ‘Doctor, heal yourself.' You will also tell me to do here in my hometown the same things you heard were done in Capernaum.

Then Jesus went to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, where he taught the people on the Sabbath.

When Jesus had finished saying all these things to the people, he went to Capernaum.

And as for you, Capernaum! Did you want to lift yourself up to heaven? You will be thrown down to hell!"

After this, Jesus and his mother, brothers, and disciples went to Capernaum and stayed there a few days.

Then Jesus went back to Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. A government official was there whose son was sick in Capernaum.

When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and asked him to go to Capernaum and heal his son, who was about to die.

got into a boat, and went back across the lake toward Capernaum. Night came on, and Jesus still had not come to them.

When the crowd saw that Jesus was not there, nor his disciples, they got into those boats and went to Capernaum, looking for him.

Jesus said this as he taught in the synagogue in Capernaum.
