He went first to Nazareth, then left there and moved to Capernaum, beside the Sea of Galilee, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali.

When Jesus returned to Capernaum, a Roman officer came and pleaded with him,

"And you people of Capernaum, will you be honored in heaven? No, you will go down to the place of the dead. For if the miracles I did for you had been done in wicked Sodom, it would still be here today.

On their arrival in Capernaum, the collectors of the Temple tax came to Peter and asked him, "Doesn't your teacher pay the Temple tax?"

Jesus and his companions went to the town of Capernaum. When the Sabbath day came, he went into the synagogue and began to teach.

When Jesus returned to Capernaum several days later, the news spread quickly that he was back home.

After they arrived at Capernaum and settled in a house, Jesus asked his disciples, "What were you discussing out on the road?"

Then Jesus left Capernaum and went down to the region of Judea and into the area east of the Jordan River. Once again crowds gathered around him, and as usual he was teaching them.

Then he said, "You will undoubtedly quote me this proverb: ‘Physician, heal yourself'—meaning, ‘Do miracles here in your hometown like those you did in Capernaum.'

Then Jesus went to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and taught there in the synagogue every Sabbath day.

When Jesus had finished saying all this to the people, he returned to Capernaum.

And you people of Capernaum, will you be honored in heaven? No, you will go down to the place of the dead."

After the wedding he went to Capernaum for a few days with his mother, his brothers, and his disciples.

As he traveled through Galilee, he came to Cana, where he had turned the water into wine. There was a government official in nearby Capernaum whose son was very sick.

When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went and begged Jesus to come to Capernaum to heal his son, who was about to die.

But as darkness fell and Jesus still hadn't come back, they got into the boat and headed across the lake toward Capernaum.

So when the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into the boats and went across to Capernaum to look for him.

He said these things while he was teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.
