 I. [קְצִיעָה] noun feminine cassia, a powdered bark, like cinnamon (hence Greek κασία, Latin casia, Lewy Fremdw. 37); — plural (מֹר וַאֲהָלוֺת) פָצִיעוֺת Psalm 45:9 (Che now תּוּצַק are shed, see in Ency. Bib. CASSIA, n.).

Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

קְצִיעָה f.

(1)  cassia, Gr. κασία (Laurus Cassia, Linn.), a bark similar to cinnamon, but less aromatic, so called from its being peeled off (root קָצַע), pl. קְצִיעוֹת Psalms 45:9 see Celsii Hierobot., t. ii. p. 360. Arab. قَصِيغَةُ id., Cast.

(2) [Kezia], pr.n. of a daughter of Job, Job 42:14.
