For there will be a day of the LORD of Hosts for all that is proud and haughty, And for all that is lifted up; And it shall be brought low:

Wail; for the day of the LORD is at hand; as destruction from Shaddai shall it come.

Behold, the day of the LORD comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger; to make the land a desolation, and to destroy the sinners of it out of it.

Blow you the shofar in Tziyon, And sound an alarm in my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, For the day of the LORD comes, For it is close at hand:

The LORD thunders his voice before his army; For his forces are very great; For he is strong who obeys his command; For the day of the LORD is great and very awesome, And who can endure it?

The sun will be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes.

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near, in the valley of decision.

"Woe to you who desire the day of the LORD! Why do you long for the day of the LORD? It is darkness, And not light.

Will the day of the LORD not be darkness, and not light? Even very dark, and no brightness in it?

For the day of the LORD is near all the nations! As you have done, it will be done to you. Your deeds will return upon your own head.

Be silent at the presence of the Lord GOD, for the day of the LORD is at hand. For the LORD has prepared a sacrifice. He has consecrated his guests.

The great day of the LORD is near. It is near, and hurries greatly, the voice of the day of the LORD. The mighty man cries there bitterly.

Behold, a day of the LORD comes, when your spoil will be divided in your midst.

Behold, I will send you Eliyah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes.
