And Ahab called Obadiah, who was the steward of his household. (Now Obadiah revered the LORD greatly;

For when Jezebel slew the prophets of God, Obadiah took a hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)

And Ahab said to Obadiah, Go through the land, to all fountains of water and to all brooks; perhaps we may find grass to save the horses and mules alive, that we may not lose all the beasts.

So they divided the land between them to pass throughout it; Ahab went one way by himself, and Obadiah went another way by himself.

And as Obadiah was on the way, behold, Elijah met him; and he recognized him, and fell on his face and said, Is that you, my lord Elijah?

And Obadiah said, What sin have I committed, that you would deliver your servant into the hand of Ahab, to slay me?

So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told Ahab; and Ahab went to meet Elijah.

And the son of Uzzi: Izarhan; and the sons of Izarhan: Malchael, Obadiah, Joel, and Ishoa, four, all of them chief men.

And Sheadiah, Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.

And Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Cala, the son of Jerithun; and Berechiah the son of Asaph, the son of Hilkanah, who dwelt in Ramtha.

THE vision of Obadiah: Thus says the LORD God concerning Edom: We have heard a rumor from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the nations, Arise, and let us rise up against her for battle.
