AND the children of Israel journeyed, and encamped in the plains of Moab on this side of Jordan by Jericho.

And Moses and Eleazar the priest talked with the people in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

These are those that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho.

And they brought the captives, the booty, and the spoil, to Moses and to Eleazar the priest and to the congregation of the children of Israel, to the camp at the plains of Moab which are by the Jordan near Jericho.

And they departed from the mountain of the Hebrews, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho.

And the LORD said to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho,

The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise.

THE LORD spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho, saying,

These are the commandments and the judgments which the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses concerning the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho.

Go up into this mountain of the Abraye, into mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over toward Jericho; and view the land of Canaan, which I give to the children of Israel as a possession:

AND Moses went up from the plains of Moab to the mountain of Nebo, to the top of the hill which is opposite Jericho. And the LORD showed him all the land of Gilead as far as Dan,

And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, as far as Zoar.

AND Joshua the son of Nun sent out from Shittim two men who were familiar with the land, and said to them, Go view the land of Jericho. And they went, and came into the house of a woman who was a harlot, named Rahab, and lodged there.

And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold, there came certain men here tonight from the children of Israel to spy in the country.

So the king of Jericho sent to Rahab, saying. Bring forth the men that have entered into your house at night; for they have come to spy in the country.

That the waters that flowed down from above piled up as though they were in sheepskins, one beside the other; and extended for a long distance from the town of Aram, that is beside Zaretan; and those that flowed down toward the sea of the plain, the Salt Sea, failed to flow, and were divided; and the people passed over opposite Jericho.

About forty thousand men armed for war passed over before the LORD to battle, to the plains of Jericho.

And the people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, on the east border of Jericho.

And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at evening in the plain of Jericho.

And it came to pass, when Joshua was in the plain of Jericho, he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man opposite him with his sword drawn in his hand; and Joshua went to him, and said to him, Are you of us or of our enemies?
