The Israelites set out, and camped in the plains of Moab across the Jordan from Jericho.

Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho, saying,

These were those enrolled by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who enrolled the Israelites in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho.

Then they brought the captives and the booty and the spoil to Moses, to Eleazar the priest, and to the congregation of the Israelites, at the camp on the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

They set out from the mountains of Abarim and camped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho;

In the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

the two tribes and the half-tribe have taken their inheritance beyond the Jordan at Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise.

In the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

These are the commandments and the ordinances that the Lord commanded through Moses to the Israelites in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

"Ascend this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, across from Jericho, and view the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites for a possession;

Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho, and the Lord showed him the whole land: Gilead as far as Dan,

the Negeb, and the Plain—that is, the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees—as far as Zoar.

Then Joshua son of Nun sent two men secretly from Shittim as spies, saying, "Go, view the land, especially Jericho." So they went, and entered the house of a prostitute whose name was Rahab, and spent the night there.

The king of Jericho was told, "Some Israelites have come here tonight to search out the land."

Then the king of Jericho sent orders to Rahab, "Bring out the men who have come to you, who entered your house, for they have come only to search out the whole land."

the waters flowing from above stood still, rising up in a single heap far off at Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan, while those flowing toward the sea of the Arabah, the Dead Sea, were wholly cut off. Then the people crossed over opposite Jericho.

About forty thousand armed for war crossed over before the Lord to the plains of Jericho for battle.

The people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and they camped in Gilgal on the east border of Jericho.

While the Israelites were camped in Gilgal they kept the passover in the evening on the fourteenth day of the month in the plains of Jericho.

Once when Joshua was by Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing before him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went to him and said to him, "Are you one of us, or one of our adversaries?"
