Marvel not - No piense que es tan inusual, o tan poco esperable, como para despertar asombro.

Si el mundo te odia - El énfasis aquí se debe poner en la palabra "tú". El apóstol acababa de anunciar el hecho de que Caín odiaba a Abel, su hermano, sin causa, y dice que no debían considerar extraño que el mundo los odiara de la misma manera. El Salvador Juan 15:17 introdujo estos temas en la misma conexión. Al imponer el deber de amor fraternal a sus discípulos, se da cuenta del hecho de que deben esperar ser odiados por el mundo y les dice que recuerden que el mundo lo odiaba antes de odiarlos. Verso 13. No os maravilléis - si el mundo os odia.  No espere mejor trato de los judíos y gentiles inconversos que el que recibió Abel de su hermano malvado y cruel. Esta fue una lección para la Iglesia, preparatoria al martirio . No esperéis justicia ni misericordia de los hombres que son enemigos de Dios. O están llenos de malicia y envidia, odiosos, odiándose unos a otros, o son  huecos, falsos y engañosos.

"Un enemigo de DIOS nunca fue un verdadero amigo del HOMBRE".
