(Strong's #1964 — Verb — epirkeo — ep-ee-or-keh'-o )

signifies "to swear falsely, to undo one's swearing, forswear oneself" (epi, "against," orkos, "an oath"), Matthew 5:33 . Cp. epiorkos, "a perjured person, a perjurer," 1 Timothy 1:10 , "false swearers."
