and Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot;

When He came to the house, He did not allow anyone to enter with Him except Peter, John, and James, and the girl's father and mother.

About eight days after these sayings, He took along Peter, John, and James, and went up on the mountain to pray.

When His disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?"

Now these women were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James; also the other women with them were telling these things to the apostles.

And he had James the brother of John executed with a sword.

But motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he described to them how the Lord had led him out of the prison. And he said, "Report these things to James and the brothers." Then he left and went to another place.

After they stopped speaking, James responded, saying, "Brothers, listen to me.

And the following day Paul went in with us to James, and all the elders were present.

For prior to the coming of some men from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he began to withdraw and separate himself, fearing those from the circumcision.
