(᾿Ηλά, Vulg. Jolaman), one of the heads of clans (or places) whose "sons" had taken foreign wives after the Babylonian exile (1 Esdras 9:27); evidently the ELAM (See ELAM) (q.v.) of the Hebrews text (Ezra 10:26). (See ELAH).
