The ships were lifted high in the air and plunged down into the depths. In such danger the sailors lost their courage;

Everyone's hands will hang limp, and everyone's courage will fail.

The people of Heshbon and Elealeh cry out, and their cry can be heard as far away as Jahaz. Even the soldiers tremble; their courage is gone.

This is a message about Egypt. The Lord is coming to Egypt, riding swiftly on a cloud. The Egyptian idols tremble before him, and the people of Egypt lose their courage.

He will give a sense of justice to those who serve as judges, and courage to those who defend the city gates from attack.

The Lord said, "On that day kings and officials will lose their courage; priests will be shocked and prophets will be astonished."

It makes my people lose courage and stumble. I am threatening their city with a sword that flashes like lightning and is ready to kill.

But I will save you, and then those foreigners will say to one another, ‘May you receive the same blessings that came to Judah and Israel!' So have courage and don't be afraid."

where some people brought to him a paralyzed man, lying on a bed. When Jesus saw how much faith they had, he said to the paralyzed man, "Courage, my son! Your sins are forgiven."

Jesus turned around and saw her, and said, "Courage, my daughter! Your faith has made you well." At that very moment the woman became well.

Jesus spoke to them at once. "Courage!" he said. "It is I. Don't be afraid!"
