Of course not! Otherwise, how could God judge the world?Genesis 18:25; Job 1:8:3; 34:17;">[xr]

Who can condemn them? Christ Jesus, who died - and more importantly, who has been raised and is seated at the right hand of God - is the one who is also interceding for us!Job 1:34:29; Mark 16:19; Colossians 3:1; Hebrews 1:3; 7:25; 8:1; 9:24; 12:1; 1 Peter 3:22; 1 John 2:1;">[xr]

O how deep are God's riches, wisdom, and knowledge! How impossible to explain his judgments or to understand his ways!Job 1:11:7; Psalm 36:6; 92:5;">[xr]

"Who has known the mind of the Lord?Job 1:15:8; 36:22; Isaiah 40:13; Jeremiah 23:18; 1 Corinthians 2:16;">[xr] Or who has become his adviser?Isaiah 40:13 (LXX)">[fn]

Who has given him somethingJob 1:35:7; 41:11;">[xr] only to have him pay it back?"Job 41:11">[fn]

For it is written,Job 1:5:12-13; Isaiah 29:14; Jeremiah 8:9;">[xr] "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the intelligence of the intelligent I will reject."Isaiah 29:14">[fn]

Where is the wise person? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? God has turned the wisdom of the world into nonsense, hasn't he?Job 1:12:17,20, 24; Isaiah 33:18; 44:25; Romans 1:22;">[xr]

For the wisdom of this world is nonsense in God's sight. For it is written,Job 1:5:13; 1 Corinthians 1:20; 2:6;">[xr] "He catches the wise with their own trickery,"Job 5:13">[fn]

Therefore, we are Christ's representatives, as though God were pleading through us. We plead on Christ's behalf: "Be reconciled to God!"Job 1:33:23; Malachi 2:7; 2 Corinthians 3:6; 6:1; Ephesians 6:20;">[xr]

in whom the whole body is united and held together by every ligament with which it is supplied. As each individual part does its job, the body's growth is promoted so that it builds itself up in love.Colossians 2:19;">[xr]
