But the voice was adamant and said, "It ain't your job to declare something clean or not. If God says to eat it, then it is clean and you can eat it."

But none of that worries me. My only thoughts are to finish the job. Jesus told me to tell everyone about the grace of God through his Son, Jesus Christ. This is the good news that I've told everyone I could.

Paul's words echoed in their ears that they would never see him again. The range bosses from Ephesus escorted him to the boat, tipped their hats, and went out to do the job God had given them.

"'But, Boss,' I said, 'I'm the best cowboy for the job. All these people know I hunted your followers like coyotes.

"But Jesus said, 'Saddle up and go. Your job isn't to ride pens at the headquarters. You're headed out to gather mavericks in the rough country.'"

That was my job in Jerusalem. With authority given to me by the church, I arrested every believer I could find and threw them in prison. When it came time to sentence them to death for their belief, I cast my vote to have them killed.

If your gift is to lift others up, lift them up high. If it is donating, do it to the max. If it is being a ramrod, take your responsibility with all the seriousness of the job. And finally, if you have the specialty of kindness, do it without complaint.

Let go of your pride and do your job, not just to keep your butt out of trouble, but also so you can lay your head down at night with a clear conscience.

I'm writing to God's outfit in Corinth. I'm writing to those God has chosen to be his cowboys. He has straightened your lives out through his son, Jesus, and given y'all the job of gathering and tending the herd. But this is not just your job, but the job of every cowboy who has called on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Besides, who is Apollos? Who is this Paul you speak of? We're just cowboys who had the job of telling y'all the good news. We ain't special. We were just doing what the Good Lord told us to.

It ain't my job to judge outsiders, but I can sure pass judgment on those who ride for God's outfit.

A soldier in the army doesn't have to have a side job to pay for his meals. A farmer eats his own vegetables. A dairyman drinks the milk from his own cows.

All of this is God's gift to us. Jesus opened the gate to the ranch so all of us could come in and be a part of the greatest crew the world has ever known. And our job is to gather the strays and show 'em where the gate is.

But we ain't going to brag about anything more than the job Jesus gave us to do. He gave us some country to gather and we are proud of the job we've done. Y'all are part of this country we've gathered.

God has given me the job and the responsibility of giving y'all the truth—the entire truth that has been hidden.

We were bold and honest. God gave us a job of gathering the lost and bringing back those who strayed away. He told us to brand those who believed with the Holy Ghost. Even then, we weren't trying to be cool in people's eyes. We did this to be right with God and do the job he entrusted us with.

We aren't asking, we are telling you to steer clear of every believer who is either lazy or causes problems. If they don't do the job we gave all of you, ride off and don't look back.

Just because a lady has taken a few lessons doesn't mean she's ready to teach. This ain't no different for anyone. Her job is to learn quietly and practice what she learns.
