(Heb. Arach', אָרִח, prob. for אָרֵחִ wayfaring), the name of two men.
1. (Sept. Ο᾿ρέχ .) The first named of the three sons of Ulla of the tribe of Asher (1 Chronicles 7:39). B.C. apparently 1017.
2. (Sept. Ἀρές, ᾿Ηρά ) An Israelite whose posterity (variously stated as 775 and 652 in number) returned from Babylon with Zerubbabel (Ezra 2:5; Nehemiah 7:10). B.C. ante 536. He is probably the same with the Arab (Sept. ᾿Ηραέ ) whose son Shechaniah was father-in-law of Tobiah (Nehemiah 6:18).
