Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause, and forgive thy people who have sinned against thee.

If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

And said, O my God, we are ashamed to lift up our faces to thee, our God; for our iniquities are increased over our head and our great sins have reached to the very heavens.

Thou alone art the LORD; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all things that are therein, the waters and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worships thee.

He alone stretched out the heavens, and treads upon the mighty waves of the sea.

So man who lies down does not rise again; until the heavens are no more, they shall not awake, nor be roused out of their sleep.

Behold, he puts no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

Though his excellency mount up to the heavens and his head reach to the clouds,

Dominion and reverence are with him, he has made peace in his heavens.

By his spirit he manages the heavens; his hand slew the fleeing serpent.

Look to the heavens, and observe the clouds which are higher than you.

Do you know the laws of the heavens? Or do you make ordinances for the earth?

O LORD, our LORD, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Thou hast set thy glory upon the heavens.

For thy heavens have seen the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

He bowed the heavens and came down; and thick darkness was under his feet.

The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice: hailstones and coals of fire.

THE heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork.

By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

He shall call to the heavens from above and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

And the heavens shall declare his righteousness; for God himself is judge.
