He made his sanctuary as enduring as the heavens above; as secure as the earth, which he established permanently.

O Lord , the heavens praise your amazing deeds, as well as your faithfulness in the angelic assembly.

The heavens belong to you, as does the earth. You made the world and all it contains.

The heavens belong to the Lord , but the earth he has given to mankind.

to the one who used wisdom to make the heavens, for his loyal love endures,

Praise the Lord ! Praise the Lord from the sky! Praise him in the heavens!

By wisdom the Lord laid the foundation of the earth; he established the heavens by understanding.

When he established the heavens, I was there; when he marked out the horizon over the face of the deep,

Listen, O heavens, pay attention, O earth! For the Lord speaks: "I raised children, I brought them up, but they have rebelled against me!

So I will shake the heavens, and the earth will shake loose from its foundation, because of the fury of the Lord who commands armies, in the day he vents his raging anger.

The one who runs away from the sound of the terror will fall into the pit; the one who climbs out of the pit, will be trapped by the snare. For the floodgates of the heavens are opened up and the foundations of the earth shake.

At that time the Lord will punish the heavenly forces in the heavens and the earthly kings on the earth.

For look, I am ready to create new heavens and a new earth! The former ones will not be remembered; no one will think about them anymore.

This is what the Lord says: "The heavens are my throne and the earth is my footstool. Where then is the house you will build for me? Where is the place where I will rest?

"For just as the new heavens and the new earth I am about to make will remain standing before me," says the Lord , "so your descendants and your name will remain.

Be amazed at this, O heavens! Be shocked and utterly dumbfounded," says the Lord .

You people of Israel should tell those nations this: ‘These gods did not make heaven and earth. They will disappear from the earth and from under the heavens.'

The Lord says, "I will not reject all the descendants of Israel because of all that they have done. That could only happen if the heavens above could be measured or the foundations of the earth below could all be explored," says the Lord .

He is the one who by his power made the earth. He is the one who by his wisdom fixed the world in place, by his understanding he spread out the heavens.

When his voice thunders, the waters in the heavens roar. He makes the clouds rise from the far-off horizons. He makes the lightning flash out in the midst of the rain. He unleashes the wind from the places where he stores it.
