I have put My words in your mouth, and have covered you with the shadow of My hand. I spread out the heavens and put the earth in its place, and say to Zion, ‘You are My people.'"

"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

If only You would tear open the heavens and come down! The mountains would shake before You,

"For, see, I will make new heavens and a new earth. The past things will not be remembered or come to mind.

"As the new heavens and the new earth which I make will last before Me," says the Lord, "in the same way, your children's children and your name will last.

Be full of wonder at this, O heavens. Shake with fear and waste away," says the Lord.

I looked on the earth and saw that it was an empty waste. I looked to the heavens, and they had no light.

I looked and saw that there were no people. And all the birds of the heavens had left.

For the earth will be filled with sorrow and the heavens above will be dark, because I have spoken. I have planned it, and will not change My mind or turn back."

The Lord says, "Do not learn the way of the nations. And do not be afraid of the things seen in the heavens, even if the nations are afraid of them.

This is what you should say to them: "The gods that did not make the heavens and the earth will be destroyed from the earth and from under the heavens."

It is He Who made the earth by His power, and the world by His wisdom. By His understanding He has spread out the heavens.

When He speaks, there is a storm of waters in the heavens. He makes the clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain, and brings out the wind from His store-houses.

Are there any among the false gods of the nations who give rain? Or can the heavens give rain? Is it not You, O Lord our God? So we hope in You. For You are the One Who has done all these things.

The houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah will be made unclean like Topheth. This will be because of all the houses on whose roofs they burned special perfume to all the false gods of the heavens and poured out drink gifts to other gods."'"

The Lord says, "If one can find out how wide the heavens are, and look through the deepest places of the earth, then I will send all the children of Israel away from Me for all that they have done," says the Lord.

‘O Lord God! See, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your long arm! Nothing is too hard for You!
