Nehemiah 3:9 — Versículo Nehemías 3:9 . Gobernante de la mitad de Jerusalén.  Probablemente la ciudad estaba dividida en dos partes ; uno para Judá, y el otro para Benjamín, cada uno con su propio gobernador. Jeremiah 36:3 — Verse Jeremiah 36:3. It may be that the house of Judah will hear — It was yet possible to avert the judgments which had been so often denounced against them. Matthew 22:31 — Verse 31. Have ye not read — This quotation is taken from Exodus 3:6; Exodus 3:16; and as the five books of Moses were the only part of Scripture which the Sadducees acknowledged as Divine, our Lord, by confuting them from those books, proved the second part of his assertion, "Ye are ignorant of those very scriptures which ye profess to hold sacred."

Luke 2:21 — Verse Luke 2:21. When eight days were accomplished — The law had appointed that every male should be circumcised at eight days old, or on the eighth day after its birth, Genesis 17:12; and our blessed Lord received circumcision in token of his subjection to the law, Galatians 4:4; Galatians 5:3.His name was called JESUS — Galatians 5:3- : and John 1:29.

Ephesians 5:5 — Verse Ephesians 5:5. For this ye know — Ye must be convinced of the dangerous and ruinous tendency of such a spirit and conduct, when ye know that persons of this character can never inherit the kingdom of God. Philippians 3:3 — Verse Philippians 3:3. We are the circumcision — WE, who have embraced the faith of Christ crucified, are now entered into the new covenant, and according to that new covenant, worship God in the Spirit, exulting, καυχωμενοι, making our boast of Christ Jesus, as our only Saviour, having no confidence in the flesh-in any outward rite or ceremony prescribed by the Jewish institutions.

Philippians 3:3 — Verso Filipenses 3:3 . Hubiera sido absurdo emplear a un hombre para gobernar la Iglesia cuyos hijos no estaban en sujeción a él, porque es una máxima apostólica, que quien no puede gobernar su propia casa, no puede gobernar la Iglesia de Dios; 1 Timoteo 3:5 .
