Exodus 28:31 — Verso Éxodo 28:31. El manto del efod.   Éxodo 28:4 Éxodo 28:4. De esta descripción, y de lo que dice Josefo, quien debe haber estado muy familiarizado con su forma, encontramos que esta meil , o túnica, era una pieza larga y recta, de tela azul, con un agujero o abertura en el centro para que pase la cabeza; qué el agujero o abertura estaba cerrada, para que no se rasgue al ponerla o quitarla, Éxodo 28:32.

Exodus 4:4 — Verse Exodus 4:4. He put forth his hand, and caught it — Considering the light in which Moses had viewed this serpent, it required considerable faith to induce him thus implicitly to obey the command of God; but he obeyed, and the noxious serpent became instantly the miraculous rod in his hand! Implicit faith and obedience conquer all difficulties; and he who believes in God, and obeys him in all things, has really nothing to fear.

Exodus 4:4 — Verso Éxodo 4:4. Exodus 4:8 — Verse Exodus 4:8. If they will not believe - the voice of the first sign, c.] Probably intimating that some would be more difficult to be persuaded than others: some would yield to the evidence of the first miracle others would hesitate till they had seen the second; and others would not believe till they had seen the water of the Nile turned into blood, when poured upon the dry land; Exodus 4:9.

Psalms 103:4 — Verse Psalms 103:4. Who redeemeth —3. Preservation from destruction. הגואל haggoel, properly, redemption of life by the kinsman; possibly looking forward, in the spirit of prophecy, to him who became partaker of our flesh and blood, that he might have the right to redeem our souls from death by dying in our stead.4. Changing and ennobling his state; weaving a crown for him out of loving-kindness and tender mercies.

Psalms 103:4 — Versículo Salmo 103:4 . Quien te redime. 3. Leviticus 27:4 — Verse Leviticus 27:4. And if it be a female — The woman, at the same age, vowed unto the Lord, might be redeemed for thirty shekels, 4£. 10s. sterling, a little more than one half of the value of the man; for this obvious reason, that a woman, if employed, could not be of so much use in the service of the sanctuary as the man, and was therefore of much less value.

Leviticus 27:4 — Verso Levítico 27:4. Y si se trata de una mujer. Therefore the encouragement to do good, to act an upright part, is very little. This constitutes a part of the vain and empty system of human life.

Isaiah 10:4 — Verse Isaiah 10:4. Without me — That is, without my aid: they shall be taken captive even by the captives, and shall be subdued even by the vanquished. "The י yod in בלתי bilti is a pronoun, as in Hosea 13:4." - Kimchi on the place. One MS. has לבלתי lebilti.As the people had hitherto lived without God in worship and obedience; so they should now be without his help, and should perish in their transgressions.

They could not help remembering the miraculous interventions of Divine providence in feeding Elijah by the ravens, at the brook Cherith, 1 Kings 17:4-6, and by the ministry of an angel, 1 Kings 19:5-8, and our Lord's preternatural repast in the wilderness, after his victory over Satan, Matthew 4:11.

Philippians 4:4 — Verse Philippians 4:4. Rejoice in the Lord alway — Be continually happy; but this happiness you can find only in the Lord. Genuine happiness is spiritual; as it can only come from God, so it infallibly tends to him. The apostle repeats the exhortation, to show, not only his earnestness, but also that it was God's will that it should be so, and that it was their duty as well as interest.

2 Timothy 4:12 — Verse 12. Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus. — For this person, see Acts 20:4; Ephesians 6:21; Colossians 4:7. It is rather strange that the apostle should say, I have sent Tychicus to Ephesus, if Timothy was at Ephesus at this time; but it is probable that Tychicus had been sent to Ephesus some time before this, and therefore the apostle might say, though writing now to Ephesus, Tychicus have I sent, &c.

2 Timothy 4:12 — Verso 12. A Tíquico lo he enviado a Efeso... Para esta persona, véase Hechos 20:4 ; Efesios 6:21 ; Colosenses 4:7 . Es bastante extraño que el apóstol diga: He enviado a Tíquico a Efeso , si Timoteo estaba en Efeso en este momento; pero es probable que Tíquico haya sido enviado a Éfeso algún tiempo antes de esto, y por lo tanto el apóstol podría decir, aunque escribiendo ahora a Éfeso, Tíquico he enviado yo , etc.

Titus 1:14 — Versículo 14. No prestar atención a las fábulas judías... Ver 1 Timoteo 1:4 ; 1 Timoteo 4:7 .
