Genesis 4:13 be forgiven? words which we may presume he uttered on the verge of black despair. It is most probable that עון avon signifies rather the crime than the punishment; in this sense it is used Leviticus 26:41; Leviticus 26:43; 1 Samuel 28:10; 2 Kings 7:9; and נשא nasa signifies to remit or forgive. Song of Solomon 8:9 Versículo 9.
¿Te he deseado?
Romans 11:29 Verse 29. For the gifts and calling of God, c.] The gifts which God has bestowed upon them, and the calling-the invitation, with which he has favoured them he will never revoke. In reference to this point there is no change of mind in him and therefore the possibility
Romans 11:9 Verse Romans 11:9. And David saith, Let their table, c.] And from their present disposition it is reasonable to conclude that the same evils will fall upon them as fell upon the disobedient in former times, as predicted by David, Psalms 69:22, Psalms 69:23,that their
1 Corinthians 9:12 Verse 1 Corinthians 9:12. If others be partakers of this power — If those who in any matter serve you have a right to a recompense for that service, surely we who have served you in the most essential matters have a right to our support while thus employed in your
1 Corinthians 9:14 Verse 1 Corinthians 9:14. Even so hath the Lord ordained — This is evidently a reference to our Lord's ordination, Matthew 10:10: The workman is worthy of his meat. And Luke 10:7: For the labourer is worthy of his hire. And in both places it is the preacher of the
2 Corinthians 5:9 Verse 2 Corinthians 5:9. Wherefore we labour — φιλοτιμουμεθα. from φιλος, loving, and τιμη, honour; we act at all times on the principles of honour; we are, in the proper sense of the word, ambitious to do and say every thing consistently with our high vocation: and,

1 Thessalonians 1:9 Verse 9. How ye turned to God from idols — This could not be spoken either of the Jews or of the devout persons, but of the heathen Greeks, and of such it appears that the majority of the Church was formed. See what is said on this subject in the preface
