Proverbs 7:2 — Verse Proverbs 7:2. As the apple of thine eye. — As the pupil of the eye, which is of such essential necessity to sight, and so easily injured.

Jeremiah 5:7 — Verse Jeremiah 5:7. In the harlots' houses. — In places consecrated to idolatry. In the language of the prophets, adultery generally signifies idolatry. This we have often seen.

Ezekiel 2:7 — Verse Ezekiel 2:7. Whether they will hear — Whether they receive the message, or persecute thee for it, declare it to them, that they may be without excuse.

Mark 7:6 — Verse Mark 7:6. Honoureth me — με τιμα - but the Codex Bezae, and three copies of the Itala, have με αγαπα, loveth me: - the AEthiopic has both readings.

Mark 7:6 — Verso Marco 7:6. Me honra...  με τιμα - pero el Codex Bezae y tres copias del Itala , tienen με αγαπα, me ama : - el AEthiopic tiene ambas lecturas.

Revelation 7:13 — Verse Revelation 7:13. One of the elders answered — A Hebraism for spoke. The question is here asked, that the proposer may have the opportunity of answering it.

1 Samuel 7:2 — Verse 1 Samuel 7:2. It was twenty years — This chapter contains the transactions of at least twenty years, but we know not the date of each event.
