Exodus 34:9 — Verso Éxodo 34:9. Oh Señor, te ruego que mi Señor vaya entre nosotros.  El original no es יהוה Jehová , sino אדני Adonai en ambos lugares, y parece referirse particularmente al Ángel del Pacto, el Mesías. Génesis 15:8.

Exodus 9:26 — Verse Exodus 9:26. Only in the land of Goshen - was there no hail. — What a signal proof of a most particular providence! Surely both the Hebrews and Egyptians profited by this display of the goodness and severity of God.

1 Kings 9:14 — Verse 1 Kings 9:14. Sixscore talents of gold. — This was the sum which Hiram had lent, and in order to pay this Solomon had laid a tax upon his people, as we afterward learn. The whole is very darkly expressed.

Psalms 9:10 — Verse Psalms 9:10. They that know thy name — Who have an experimental acquaintance with thy mercy, will put their trust in thee, from the conviction that thou never hast forsaken, and never will forsake, them that trust in thee.

Leviticus 7:27 — Verse Leviticus 7:27. Whatsoever soul - that eateth any manner of blood — Genesis 9:4. Shall be cut off - excommunicated from the people of God, and so deprived of any part in their inheritance, and in their blessings. Genesis 17:14.

Joshua 20:1 — CHAPTER XX Joshua is commanded to appoint cities of refuge, 1, 2. The purpose of their institution, 34. Three cities are appointed in the promised land, 7; and three on the east side of Jordan, 8, 9. NOTES ON CHAP. XX
