Psalms 26:4 — Versículo Salmo 26:4 . No me he sentado con personas vanas. מתי שוא methey shav, hombres de mentira, mentirosos, calumniadores , etc. Tampoco entré con los falsos. נעלמים naalamim , los ocultos , los diseñadores oscuros , los conspiradores secretos en el estado.

Psalms 38:4 — Versículo Salmo 38:4 . Mis iniquidades han pasado sobre mi cabeza. Se representa a sí mismo como alguien que se hunde en aguas profundas , o como alguien oprimido por una carga a la que su fuerza no podía igualar.

Isaiah 62:4 — Verse Isaiah 62:4. Thy land Beulah — בעולה beulah, married. In the prophets, a desolate land is represented under the notion of a widow; an inhabited land, under that of a married woman, who has both a husband and children.

Jeremiah 12:4 — Verse Jeremiah 12:4. How long shall the land mourn — These hypocrites and open sinners are a curse to the country; pull them out, Lord, that the land may be delivered of that which is the cause of its desolation.

Jeremiah 6:4 — Verse Jeremiah 6:4. Prepare ye war against her — The words of the invaders exciting each other to the assault, and impatient lest any time should be lost; lest the besieged should have time to strengthen themselves, or get in supplies.

Hosea 4:19 — Verse Hosea 4:19. The wind hath bound her — A parching wind has blasted them in their wings - coasts, borders; or they are carried away into captivity, as with the most rapid blight. These two last verses are very obscure.

Hosea 4:8 — Verse Hosea 4:8. They eat up the sin of my people — חטאת chattath, the sin-offering, though it be offered contrary to the law; for their hearts are set on iniquity, they wish to do whatever is contrary to God.

Numbers 33:55 — land of deserts, and of pits, a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt, Jeremiah 2:6, signified the many troubles and afflictions through which we must enter into the kingdom of God, Acts 14:22. The helps, comforts, and deliverances which God gave unto his people in their distresses, are examples of his love and mercy towards his followers; for he comforts them in all their tribulation, that as the sufferings of Christ abound in them, so
