1 Chronicles 9:13 — Versículo 1 Crónicas 9:13 . NOTES ON PSALM CXIIThis is another of the acrostic or alphabetical Psalms, under the title Hallelujah. It is formed exactly as the preceding in the division of its verses. Jeremiah 29:26 — Verse Jeremiah 29:26. For every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet — Mad, משגע meshugga, in ecstatic rapture; such as appeared in the prophets, whether true or false, when under the influence, the one of God, the other of a demon. See 2 Kings 9:11; Hosea 9:7.

Numbers 12:7 — Neemanim as a name of dignity. It seems also to have been a title of respect given to ambassadors, Proverbs 13:17; Proverbs 25:13. Calmet well observes that the word fidelity is often used for an employ, office, or dignity, and refers to 1 Chronicles 9:22, 1 Chronicles 9:26, 1 Chronicles 9:31; 2 Chronicles 31:12, 2 Chronicles 31:15; 2 Chronicles 34:12, &c. Moses was a faithful, well-tried servant in the house of God, and therefore he uses him as a familiar, and puts confidence in him.

Numbers 12:7 — dignidad. Joshua 9:11 — Verse Joshua 9:11. Judges 9:9 — Verse Judges 9:9. Wherewith - they honour God and man — I believe the word אלהים elohim here should be translated gods, for the parable seems to be accommodated to the idolatrous state of the Shechemites. Thus it was understood by the Vulgate, Arabic, and others.

Revelation 16:19 — Verse Revelation 16:19. The great city — Some say Jerusalem, others Rome pagan, others Rome papal.The cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. — Alluding to the mode of putting certain criminals to death, by making them drink a cup of poison. Hebrews 2:9; Hebrews 2:9.

Revelation 9:9 — Verse Revelation 9:9. They had breastplates-of iron — They seemed to be invulnerable, for no force availed against them.The sound of their wings — Their hanging weapons and military trappings, with the clang of their shields and swords when they make their fierce onsets. This simile is borrowed from Joel 2:5-7.

Revelation 9:9 — Versículo Apocalipsis 9:9 . Tenían corazas de hierro. Parecían ser invulnerables, porque ninguna fuerza valía contra ellos. 1 Samuel 23:9 — Versículo 1 Samuel 23:9 . Traed aquí el efod. Parece como si el mismo David, vestido con el efod, hubiera consultado al Señor; y 1 Samuel 23:10-9 contienen las palabras de la consulta, y la respuesta del Señor. Pero vea en 1 Samuel 23:2 .
