Genesis 29:7 — Verse Genesis 29:7. It is yet high day — The day is but about half run; neither is it time that the cattle should be gathered together-it is surely not time yet to put them into the folds; give them therefore water, and take them again to pasture.

Ezekiel 47:15 — Verse Ezekiel 47:15. The way of Hethlon, us men go to Zedad. — Probably Hethlon is the same as Cuthlon, a city of Syria, between Antioch and Laodicea, according to Antoninus. Some of these places are not known; but see the same kind of division, Numbers 34:7-12.

Hosea 7:2 — Verse Hosea 7:2. They consider not in their hearts — They do not consider that my eye is upon all their ways; they do not think that I record all their wickedness; and they know not their own evil doings are as a host of enemies encompassing them about.

Joel 1:8 — Verse 8. Lament like a virgin - for the husband of her youth. — Virgin is a very improper version here. The original is בתולה bethulah, which signifies a young woman or bride not a virgin, the proper Hebrew for which is עלמה almah. Isaiah 7:14, and "Matthew 1:23".

Micah 7:15 — Verse Micah 7:15. According to the days — This is the answer to the prophet's prayer; and God says he will protect, save, defend, and work miracles for them in their restoration, such as he wrought for their fathers in their return from Egypt to the promised land.

Zechariah 1:7 — Verse Zechariah 1:7. Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month — This revelation was given about three months after the former, and two months after they had recommenced the building of the temple.Sebat — Answers to a part of our February. See Haggai 2:18.

Zechariah 8:7 — Verse Zechariah 8:7. I will save my people from the east country, and from the west — From every land in which any of them may be found. But these promises principally regard the Christian Church, or the bringing in the Jews with the fulness of the Gentiles.

Zechariah 9:4 — Verse Zechariah 9:4. Will smite her power in the sea — See Ezekiel 26:17. Though Alexander did take Tyre, Sidon, Gaza, c. yet it seems that the prediction relative to their destruction was fulfilled by Nebuchadnezzar. See Amos 1:6-8; Zephaniah 2:4; Zephaniah 2:7.

Revelation 11:6 — Verse Revelation 11:6. These have power to shut heaven — As Elijah did, 1 Kings 17:1-46.To turn them to blood — As Moses did, Exodus 7:19-25. They shall have power to afflict the land with plagues, similar to those which were inflicted on the Egyptians.

Revelation 14:7 — Verse Revelation 14:7. Fear God, and give glory to him — This is the general language of the sacred writings. Worship the true God, the creator and governor of all things; and give him glory, for to him alone, not to idols or men, all glory and honour belong.

Revelation 5:11 — Verse Revelation 5:11. The voice of many angels — These also are represented as joining in the chorus with redeemed mortals.Ten thousand times ten thousand — "Myriads of myriads and chiliads of chiliads;" that is, an infinite or innumerable multitude. This is in reference to Daniel 7:10.

Revelation 7:11 — Verse Revelation 7:11. All the angels, &c.] As there is joy in the presence of God among these holy spirits when one sinner repents, no wonder that they take such an interest in the gathering together of such innumerable multitudes who are fully saved from their sins.
