This is very similar to the description of the angel, Revelation 10:5-6, and in the seventh verse there seems to be a reference to this prophecy "a time, times, and a half." See the note on Daniel 7:25.

The words as they stand in the Septuagint are quoted by the apostle, Deuteronomy 7:1; Deuteronomy 2:9.

Acts 22:20 — Verse Acts 22:20. When the blood of thy martyr Stephen was shed — Acts 7:58; Acts 7:58; and Acts 8:1; Acts 8:1. All these things Paul alleged as reasons why he could not expect to be received by the Christians; for how could they suppose that such a persecutor could be converted?

Romans 7:7 — Verse Romans 7:7. Is the law sin? — The apostle had said, Romans 7:6: The motions of sins, which were by the law, did bring forth fruit unto death; and now he anticipates an objection, "Is therefore the law sin?" To which he answers, as usual, μηγεςοιτο, by

Joshua 10:40 — Verse Joshua 10:40. All the country of the hills — Deuteronomy 1:7; Deuteronomy 1:7.Destroyed all that breathed — Every person found in arms who continued to resist; these were all destroyed, - those who submitted were spared: but many no doubt made their escape, and afterwards reoccupied certain parts of the land. See Joshua 10:36-37.

Joshua 15:7 — Verse Joshua 15:7. The valley of Achor — Debir mentioned in this verse is unknown. The valley of Achor had its name from the punishment of Achan. See the account, Joshua 7:24, c.En-shemesh — The fountain of the sun it was eastward of Jerusalem, on the confines of Judah and Benjamin.
