1 Kings 9:9 — Verse 1 Kings 9:9. Have taken hold upon other gods — When an indigent person claims the protection of a superior, he casts himself down before him, and lays hold of his feet; and this expression is frequently used when there is no prostration: I have taken hold of thy feet. When a person is called into the presence of the Burman monarch, he is said to go to the golden foot. - WARD'S Customs.

1 Kings 9:9 — Versículo 1 Reyes 9:9 . Esther 9:26 — Versículo Ester 9:26 . Esther 9:3 — Verse Esther 9:3. And all the rulers of the provinces — Mordecai being raised to the highest confidence of the king, and to have authority over the whole realm, these officers assisted the Jews, no doubt, with the troops under their command, to overthrow those who availed themselves of the former decree to molest the Jews. For it does not appear that the Jews slew any person who did not rise up to destroy them. See Esther 9:5.

Psalms 118:25 — Verse Psalms 118:25. Save now, I beseech thee — These words were sung by the Jews on the feast of tabernacles, when carrying green branches in their hands; and from the הושיעה נא hoshiah nna, we have the word hosanna. This was sung by the Jewish children when Christ made his public entry into Jerusalem. See Matthew 21:9, and see the note there, Matthew 21:9, in which the word and the circumstance are both explained.

Psalms 118:25 — Versículo Salmo 118:25 . Ezekiel 1:24 — Verse Ezekiel 1:24. The noise of their wings — When the whirlwind drove the wheels, the wind rustling among the wings was like the noise of many waters; like a waterfall, or waters dashing continually against the rocks, or rushing down precipices.As the voice of the Almighty — Like distant thunder; for this is termed the voice of God, Psalms 18:13; Exodus 9:23; Exodus 9:28-29; Exodus 20:18.

Ezekiel 1:24 — Versículo Ezequiel 1:24 . Matthew 14:14 — Verse Matthew 14:14. Jesus-was moved with compassion — εσπλαγχνισθε, he was moved with tender compassion, so I think the word should in general be translated: Matthew 9:36; Matthew 9:36. As a verb, it does not appear to have been used by any but ecclesiastical writers. It always intimates that motion of the bowels, accompanied with extreme tenderness and concern, which is felt at the sight of the miseries of another.

Matthew 17:15 — Verse Matthew 17:15. My son - is lunatic — σεληνιαζεται. One who was most affected with this disorder at the change and full of the moon. Matthew 4:24. But this lunacy was occasioned by a demon, see Matthew 17:18, and Mark 9:17; Luke 9:38. In this case, the devil intended to hide himself under the appearance of a natural disorder, that no supernatural means might be resorted to for his expulsion. Matthew 17:15 — Verso Mateo 17:15. Mi hijo - está loco.  σεληνιαζεται. Uno de los más afectados por este trastorno en el cambio y lleno de locura. Mateo 4:24. Mark 2:21 — Verse 21. No man - seweth — Matthew 9:16. No man seweth a piece of unscoured cloth upon an old garment. In the common editions this verse begins with και, and, but this is omitted by almost every MS. and version of note. The construction of the whole verse is various in the MSS. The translation given here, and in Matthew 9:16, is intelligible, and speaks for itself.

Mark 2:21 — Versículo 21. Ningún hombre - costura...  Mateo 9:16. Nadie cose un trozo de tela sin cortar sobre una prenda vieja . En las ediciones comunes, este verso comienza con και, y , pero esto se omite en casi todos los manuscritos y versiones de la nota. La construcción de todo el versículo es variada en los manuscritos. Joshua 9:15 — Versículo Josué 9:15 . Judges 9:13 — Verse Judges 9:13. Which cheereth God and man — I believe אלהים elohim here is to be taken in the same sense proposed on Judges 9:9. Vast libations of wine, as well as much oil, were used in heathenish sacrifices and offerings; and it was their opinion that

Revelation 9:10 — Versículo Apocalipsis 9:10 . Tenían colas como de escorpiones.  Esto puede referirse a las consecuencias de sus victorias. Contagiaron a los vencidos con sus perniciosas doctrinas.
