THE TRIUMPH METAPHOR
Suddenly, in the light of the good news brought by Titus, Paul sees the glorious triumph

Adam Clarke capitalized the word "Gospel" in this verse, making it bear the meaning that the brother Paul sent with Titus was the
Colossians 1:3-4

Some commentators have supposed that Paul copied his habit of beginning
Colossians 2:9

This is an unequivocal declaration of the deity of the Son of God, a thesis repeated at least a dozen times in the Greek New Testament, and reinforced by literally hundreds of other intimations

All that are with me… It is impossible to know who any of these might have been.
That love us in faith… Here the preference of the ASV translators
Hebrews 1:8
But of the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; And the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of thy kingdom.
This quotation is from Psalms 45:6 and relates to the Godhead of Christ.
