1 Corinthians 4:8 depicts the unjustifiable “glorying” of the readers with an abruptness due to excited feeling ( cf. the asyndeton of 1 Corinthians 3:16 ): “How much you have received, and how you boast of it! So soon you are satiated!” etc. The three first clauses ἤδη , ἤδη , f1χωρὶς κ . τ . λ . are exclamations rather than questions (W.H [703] ). Distinguish ἤδη , jam, by this time;

1 Timothy 1:15
1 Timothy 1:15 . πιστὸς ὁ λόγος : The complete phrase, πιστὸς … ἄξιος recurs in 1 Timothy 4:9 ; and πιστὸς ὁ λόγος in 1 Timothy 3:1 , 2 Timothy 2:11 , Titus 3:8 .
The only other places in the N.T. in which πιστὸς is applied to λόγος in the sense of that can be relied on are Titus 1:9 , ἀντεχόμενον τοῦ κατὰ τὴν διδαχὴν πιστοῦ λόγου ; Revelation 21:5 ; Revelation 22:6 , οὗτοι
1 Timothy 1:15 πιστὸς ὁ λόγος: La frase completa, πιστὸς… ἄξιος se repite en 1 Timoteo 4:9 ; y πιστὸς ὁ λόγος en 1 Timoteo 3:1 ; 2 Timoteo 2:11 ; Tito 3:8 .
Los únicos otros lugares en el NT en los que πιστὸς se aplica a λόγος en el sentido de que se puede confiar en eso son Tito 1:9 , ἀντεχόμενον τοῦ κατὰ τὴν διδαχὴν πινστυο;στυο; Apocalipsis 21:5 ; Apocalipsis 22:6
1 Timothy 3:1-13
1 Timothy 3:1-13 . The qualifications of the men who are to be ministers; and first ( a ) of the episcopus (vv.1-7) secondly ( b ) of the deacons (1 Timothy 3:8-13 ) with a parenthetical instruction respecting women church-workers (1 Timothy 3:11 ).

Hebrews 3:1-19
Hebrews 3:1 to Hebrews 4:13 . Chapters 3 and 4 as far as Hebrews 3:13 , form one paragraph. The purpose of the writer in this passage, as in the whole Epistle, is to encourage his readers in their allegiance to Christ and to save them from apostacy by exhibiting
1 Peter 1:4 heirs (Galatians 4:7 ) and have an heavenly inheritance. The accumulated adjectives recall various images employed to describe it and emphasise the fact that it is eternal (Hebrews 9:15 ) and spiritual. It is ἄφθαρτον , incorruptible ( cf. 1 Peter 1:23 , 1 Peter 3:4 ) because it belongs to the future life which the risen dead (1 Corinthians 15:52 ) share with God Himself (Romans 1:23 ; 1 Timothy 1:17 ). It is set where “moth doth not corrupt ( διαφθείρει , Luke 12:33 : Matthew 6:19 ff. has ἀφανίζει
