De ahí que justicia, según el paralelismo, se correspondo con salvación. “Judá” ha de ser “salva” por el Señor nuestra justicia

Daniel 10:2 mourning—that is,
afflicting myself by fasting from "pleasant bread, flesh and
wine" (Daniel 10:3), as a sign
of sorrow, not for its own sake. Compare Daniel 10:3- :, "fast," answering to "mourn" (Daniel 10:3- :). Compare 1 Corinthians 8:8;
1 Timothy 4:3, which prove that
"fasting" is not an indispensable Christian obligation; but
merely an outward expression of sorrow, and separation from ordinary
worldly enjoyments, in order to give one's self to prayer (1 Timothy 4:3- :). Daniel's mourning was
Daniel 3 overview power in
the height of its insolence. The latter advances from mere
self-glorification, in the fourth chapter, to open opposition to God
in the fifth. Nebuchadnezzar demands homage to be paid to his image
(Daniel 3:1-6), and boasts of
his power (Daniel 4:1-18).
But Belshazzar goes further, blaspheming God by polluting His holy
vessels. There is a similar progression in the conduct of God's
people. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego refuse positive
homage to the image of the world power (Daniel 4:1-27.4.18-
Micah 4:9 thee?—asked tauntingly. There is a king in her; but it

Ezekiel 12:13) [CALVIN].
The former is perhaps the preferable view (compare Ezekiel 12:13- :). The latter, however, describes better Zion's kingless
state during her present long dispersion (Hosea 3:4;
Hosea 3:5).

John 4:34 34. My meat is, c.—"A

that is 'meat' to Me and of this, while you were away, I have had My

John 4:44 44. For Jesus testified, c.—This
verse had occasioned much discussion. For it seems strange, if "His
own country" here means Nazareth, which was in Galilee,
that it should be said He came to Galilee because in one of
its towns He expected no good reception.
