Jeremiah 44:15 15. their wives—The idolatry
began with them (1 Kings 11:4;
1 Timothy 2:14). Their husbands'
connivance implicated them in the guilt.
Ezekiel 33:25 25. eat with the blood—in
opposition to the law (Leviticus 19:26;
compare Genesis 9:4). They did so as
an idolatrous rite.
