Psalms 103:4 — 4. redeemeth—Cost is implied. destruction—literally, "pit of corruption" ( :-). crowneth—or, "adorneth" (Psalms 65:11). tender mercies—compassions (compare Psalms 25:6; Psalms 40:11).

Psalms 66:3 — 3, 4. A specimen of the praise. How terrible—(Compare Psalms 65:8). submit—(Compare Margin), show a forced subjection (Psalms 65:8- :), produced by terror.
Psalms 77:4 — 4. holdest . . . waking—or, "fast," that I cannot sleep. Thus he is led to express his anxious feelings in several earnest questions indicative of impatient sorrow.
Proverbs 1:15 — 15, 16. The society of the wicked (way or path) is dangerous. Avoid the beginnings of sin (Proverbs 4:14; Psalms 1:1; Psalms 119:101).
Proverbs 10:25 — 25. (Compare Psalms 1:4; Psalms 37:9; Psalms 37:10; Psalms 37:36). righteous . . . foundation—well laid and firm (Matthew 7:24; Matthew 7:25).
Proverbs 2:8 — 8. keepeth . . . way—God defends the right way, and those in it. saints—objects of favor (compare Psalms 4:3, &c.). He guides and guards them.
Proverbs 29:10 — 10. bloodthirsty—(Compare Margin), murderers (Psalms 5:6; Psalms 26:9). hate, c.— (Proverbs 1:11 Genesis 3:4). seek . . . soul—that is, to preserve it.
Isaiah 13:13 — 13. Image for mighty revolutions (Isaiah 24:19; Isaiah 34:4; Habakkuk 3:6; Habakkuk 3:10; Haggai 2:6; Haggai 2:7; Revelation 20:11).

Ezekiel 32:3 — 3. with a company of many people—namely, the Chaldeans (Ezekiel 29:3; Ezekiel 29:4; Hosea 7:12). my net—for they are My instrument.
John 4:4 — 4. must needs go through Samaria—for a geographical reason, no doubt, as it lay straight in his way, but certainly not without a higher design.
