Gary H. Everett's Study Notes on the Holy Scriptures
Ecclesiastes 8

Verses 1-17

Ecclesiastes 8:11 Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

Ecclesiastes 8:11Comments- Because Christians are not judged quickly in their sins, their love towards God grows cold as they set themselves to continue in sin. The Scriptures tell us to judge ourselves, lest this happen to us ( 1 Corinthians 11:31-32).

1 Corinthians 11:31-32, "For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world."
