Voice of the Lord
He has removed our sins from us as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12).
Here is an amazing truth. In the above Scripture, we are told that God has removed our sins as far as the east is from the west. This was written long before it was an established fact that the earth is round. It says, "as far as the east is from the west," not "as far as the north is from the south." The earth is a sphere and it spins on an axis; thus, we have two poles, a north pole and a south pole. If you head north or south, you come to an end at either pole. So if the Word of God said, "He has removed our sins from us as far as the north is from the south," you could measure the distance in thousands of miles.
But unlike north and south, east and west never meet. The directions east and west are infinite; east and west are thus infinitely separate. Likewise, in salvation, he has removed our sins an infinity away!
The Bible is awesome! Even more awesome is his love toward us. Rejoice and be very glad, for we are totally free. He has removed our sins, our past, our hindrances, our failures ...as far as the east is from the west!
.. write down any sin or failure that I'm troubled about, give it to God and ask for forgiveness. Then, as a sign of believing in his promise, I will tear up the paper, accept God's total forgiveness, and walk in freedom!
